What books would you include on their “100 Books to Read in a Lifetime” list?

Now it’s your turn: Write a list of ten books you believe everyone should read. Next to each title, write a sentence or two to explain or defend why you think everyone should read that book.

In other words, each sentence about each book should answer this question: “What’s so great about this book that I think everyone should read it?” For some books, it might be hard to limit your sentences to just one or two!
